Avahi Team Members Named Finalists in the 2025 Stevie® Awards for Women in Business

Women Around the World To Be Recognized at Event in New York

San Francisco, California – September 25, 2025 – Avahi, a trusted Premier-tier Amazon Web Services (AWS) partner, announced that two of its leaders, Diana Lopez and Nashita Khandaker, have been named Stevie® Award Finalists in the Achievement in Technology Innovation category in the 22nd annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honour the achievements of women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the organizations they run, worldwide. The awards will be presented at a gala event in New York City on Monday, November 10, where Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie placements from among the Finalists will be revealed.

Diana Lopez, Avahi’s AI Data Scientist, was the first woman to join Avahi across the GenAI and Delivery teams. Since then, she has turned advanced research into production results, designing retrieval systems with human in the loop learning and building agent routing that prioritizes compact models. The approach keeps accuracy high and compute needs low, which makes production AI attainable for constrained budgets.

She also led original research on detecting misogynistic content and convened an international evaluation, adding scholarly depth to Avahi’s practice. For uniting scientific rigor with measurable operational impact, Lopez is recognized as a Finalist for Achievement in Technology Innovation.

Nashita Khandaker has made her mark in Avahi raising from Junior Data Scientist to Associate Solutions Architect in only eight months, a progression that typically takes years. She created Avahi’s framework for migrating GPT based prototypes to AWS Bedrock, and she shouldered a major share of Statements of Work with one of the strongest conversion rates to pilot builds. Her work pairs speed with precision, giving customers a practical path from exploration to production.

She also developed domain specific agents and pipelines for drug safety, scientific research, and design automation, turning innovation into adoption and revenue. For accelerating both the quality and pace of GenAI delivery, Khandaker is also recognized as a Finalist for Achievement in Technology Innovation.

“Diana and Nashita are proof that innovation and measurable impact go together,” said Jack Singh, CEO of Avahi. “We are incredibly proud of them, and we want more women around the world to lead in technology and innovation. At Avahi, we are committed to creating the opportunities, mentorship, and visibility that help more women shine.”

More than 1,500 entries from organizations and individuals in 48 nations and territories were submitted this year for consideration in categories such as Executive of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women-run Workplace of the Year, among many others.

Finalists were determined based on the average scores of more than 190 business professionals worldwide, serving across seven judging committees. Their scores will also determine the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie placements.

Maggie Miller, president of the Stevie Awards, said, “Now in its 22nd year, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business attracted an exceptional range of nominations. We are continually inspired by how meaningful it is for women to receive a Stevie Award and the lasting impact it can have on their careers and organizations. We extend our congratulations to all of this year’s Finalists and look forward to announcing the final award placements on November 10.”
