RiptideHQ builds Ripley, an AI assistant that generates high value conversation data from customer interactions. As adoption grew, RiptideHQ needed a reliable way to consolidate this conversation data and deliver it to AAA Auto Club on a timely cadence. Avahi built an AWS-based data pipeline that standardizes and delivers conversation datasets for downstream consumption. With dependable access to this data, AAA can apply insights to improve products and services for its broad member base, while RiptideHQ gains a scalable foundation for a governed data lake and future API-based distribution.
RiptideHQ is a technology company in the Technology, Information and Internet sector. The company develops an AI assistant, Ripley, that supports conversation-driven workflows and produces conversation intelligence that customers can use to enhance service delivery and customer experiences. RiptideHQ operates as a lean team and partners with large enterprises that require consistent, secure access to actionable data.
RiptideHQ had accumulated substantial conversation data from Ripley AI Assistant interactions, but the data was not yet consolidated into a unified data lake and was not packaged for repeatable enterprise consumption. Their primary customer, AAA Auto Club, needed timely access to conversation datasets in order to translate real interaction signals into product and service improvements.
Without an automated pipeline, RiptideHQ would face ongoing friction in extracting, standardizing, and delivering data, especially as data volume and customer expectations increased. Manual processes also increase the risk of inconsistent schemas, delayed delivery, and limited traceability, all of which reduce trust in the data and slow decision-making.
If left unaddressed, these constraints would limit RiptideHQ’s ability to scale data sharing beyond a single stakeholder group, and would make it harder to expand to additional AAA-based customers with strong governance and access controls.
RiptideHQ needed a cloud platform that could support secure, scalable data engineering while keeping operational overhead low for a small team. AWS provides managed building blocks for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and monitoring, enabling RiptideHQ to focus on data value rather than infrastructure maintenance.
AWS also aligns with RiptideHQ’s next phase goals, including migrating analytics workloads into Amazon Redshift and implementing governed data access using AWS Lake Formation, both of which are well suited for controlled sharing of sensitive datasets at enterprise scale.
RiptideHQ needed a partner that could move quickly, implement a production-ready pipeline, and keep the architecture aligned with a longer-term data lake strategy. Avahi brought deep AWS data platform expertise and a pragmatic approach to delivering reliable outcomes without unnecessary complexity.
As an AWS Premier Tier Partner, Avahi was uniquely positioned to design for enterprise-grade security and scalability while still optimizing for a lean operating model. This combination helped RiptideHQ deliver immediate value to AAA Auto Club and establish a clear path to expand the platform to more AAA-based customers.
Avahi implemented a consolidated AWS data pipeline to convert Ripley AI Assistant conversation outputs into standardized, consumable datasets for AAA Auto Club. The solution centralized conversation data into Amazon S3, creating a durable storage layer that supports both current delivery needs and future data lake expansion.
To make the data analytics-ready, Avahi used AWS Glue to transform and normalize conversation datasets into consistent schemas. This made downstream consumption more reliable by reducing variation across exports and ensuring AAA could work with predictable structures over time.
Avahi also implemented operational monitoring through Amazon CloudWatch to support consistent delivery and faster troubleshooting. Security and controlled access were enforced using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) and encryption controls with AWS Key Management Service (RDS), helping ensure the right stakeholders can access the right datasets, with protections appropriate for enterprise environments.
Finally, Avahi designed the pipeline with a clear next-step architecture in mind: migrating the consolidated data into Amazon Redshift for analytics, establishing a governed data lake using AWS Lake Formation, and exposing curated datasets through an API layer so AAA-based customers can access data with native access control features.
RiptideHQ now has a dependable mechanism to inject conversation data into AAA Auto Club workflows, enabling AAA to use real conversation signals to improve products and services. The delivered pipeline also positions RiptideHQ to scale beyond one-off data delivery, moving toward a governed data lake and API-based distribution model that can support multiple AAA-based customers with consistent controls.
